This corner pub was built by Hardy's Kimberley Brewery in 1913 to replace a nearby pub demolished for road widening; a very faded sign survives on the roof tiles: 'HARDY’S ALES'. Large 'j' shaped bar leads to smaller dining room which goes onto the attractive beer garden. It offers six handpulled beers, mostly sourced from local breweries such as Full Mash and The Marlpool Brewing Company. A bright and spacious pub which also offers bed and breakfast. Carvery on Sundays and steak night Thursdays.Weekends have live bands and other entertainment.
