      A large Victorian pub with an attractive mock-Tudor façade. The recently-refurbished interior has a single bar which provides for several drinking areas, including a pub games area featuring pool and darts. There is a large outside drinking area.

      Situated on the edge of Breaston village this late 18th century inn served the Sandiacre - Derby canal, which is now a footpath and the National Cycle Route 6. Refurbished to a high standard in 2018.

      In addition to the two regular beers on offer, four changing beers are usually available, including two from local breweries.

      Two rooms are served from a central bar and the pleasant ambience is enhanced by the absence of loud music. Excellent food is served daily; a variety of teas and coffee are also available.

      A country village pub with history. Now a Castle Rock GEM member. Close to local countryside walks this pub offers a bar, lounge and separate family room. These are wood panelled and comfortable. Catering for the colder months with a open fire and the summer with a pleasant beer garden. Offers a good range of real ales and a good food menu.       The Coach & Horses is a friendly, community-led pub with a traditional two-room layout of a separate lounge and bar. Situated in part of the local Draycott heritage area, it offers a choice of well-kept cask ales with at least two of them constantly changing. It also has a wide range of Lagers. ciders, wines, spirits, and bar snacks. Periodically, there is live music and other popular entertainment/events include the regular monthly Jam Night/Open mic, Karaoke and during the summer months, Bike Nights. There is also a large TV projection screen in each room, when required for sporting events, etc. The pub is family and dog-friendly, and features a nice "sun trap" beer garden/patio area, plus a covered smoking shelter. Although conveniently situated on the main bus route between Nottingham and Derby, there is also a good-sized car park too.

      A traditional, local pub with a low ceiling and real fires. On offer is a selection of three hand pulled beers. This unchanged building offers a place for a quiet pint. It is two roomed and the layout allows seating away from the bar in the bay windows. It does have Sky sports but it is not evasive. It provides a relaxed, friendly watering hole for the local village.

      Opened in late August 2016 this 2 roomed micropub has a connecting passage with a counter and bar stools (see photo). 5 changing beers are served by Hand Pull and 6 ciders by gravity. No food is served but bar snacks are available. The back room is particularly well presented and worth a visit. Please note Closing times are last orders, 'actual' time is 30 minutes later.

      Micropub opened in August 2023 in a former shop in Heanor town centre. The interior has a modern and minimal feel to its decoration and design, and the seating in the single drinking area includes two long high-top tables with chairs. There are two handpumps at the bar, and real cider is available.

      This corner pub was built by Hardy's Kimberley Brewery in 1913 to replace a nearby pub demolished for road widening; a very faded sign survives on the roof tiles: 'HARDY’S ALES'. The large 'j'-shaped bar leads to a smaller dining room at the rear. There is an attractive beer garden. It offers six handpulled beers, mostly sourced from local breweries such as Full Mash and The Marlpool Brewing Company. A bright and spacious pub which also offers bed and breakfast. Carvery on Sundays and steak night Thursdays. At weekends there are live bands and other entertainment.

      New micropub opened in 2023, converted from a small shop in a Victorian terrace, with a classic micropub style. There is a small bar serving a single drinking area, with comfortable bench seating, and the layout makes a pleasant drinking environment, conducive to conversation. Four handpumps are at the bar, supporting independent breweries from near and far. There is a monthly "Tap Takeover" from a local brewer.

      Crafts, gifts and books from local creatives are sold.

      Formerly the Crooked Cask (renamed following a change of ownership in early 2023), this micropub offers up to six real ales dispensed by handpump and gravity from breweries near and far. Also available are up to seven real ciders. The temperature-controlled cool room can be seen at the rear of the bar area. The front room is wood-panelled and on a split level. A smaller room is to the rear. There is a small beer garden to the rear. Appeared in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide in 2021 and 2022. The pub operates the on-site Popeye Brewery.

      A well established and popular micropub on two floors. Downstairs is a well laid-out single room, warmed by a stove during the winter months, providing a relaxing environment to sit and drink. There are eight regularly changing beers dispensed by handpump, and behind the bar the temperature controlled cool room can be seen. Real cider is sometimes available. There is additional seating in the room on the first floor, and there is also a pleasant courtyard drinking area. Formerly a butchers shop; old framed photographs illustrate the pub's previous life. Bar snacks are available at all times. Note that the pub operates a strictly over 18s policy.

      A well established, friendly and popular micropub, extended over three rooms, with a collection of historical pub memorabilia. Six frequently changing cask ales are at the bar, and there is a good selection of continental bottled beers. Real cider is usually available. Bar snacks include a selection of excellent cheeses and pork pies to eat in or take away, and its famous pork scratchings.

      The Burnt Pig has been a regular entry in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and was the local branch Pub of the Year in 2019.

      Opened mid December 2016 this open plan bar has a modern "industrial" feel. Furniture is a mix of scaffold pole and timber tables and benches plus upholstered Stools, sofa and chairs. 2 hand pumps serve changing beers along with 4 ciders and 4 craft keg beers on taps. A selection of wines and spirits are also available. There is an incorporated bottle shop serving over 200 world wide beer and ciders in cans and bottles. The shop shelving is again constructed from scaffold poles and timber.

      Built in 1884, this popular local is a traditional corner house pub situated on the outskirts of the town and close to Ilkeston railway station. Formerly a hotel, Sir Barnes Wallis stayed here on a visit to the area during WWII. It appears in CAMRA's national inventory of historic pub interiors, and is featured in the book "Real Heritage Pubs of the Midlands" (published 2015). There are three rooms, with the bar and lounge separated by the serving area, and there is a separate room which can be booked for meetings. A good selection of real ales is available at the bar, predominantly from local and regional breweries. Bar snacks including rolls and pork pies are available. Winner of numerous local CAMRA Pub of the Year awards and regularly appears in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

      Refurbished to a high standard, the Durham Ox Inn is the oldest Inn in Ilkeston and dates back to 1780. The emphasis is on dining rather than a casual drink.       A Wetherspoon pub, named after John Flamsteed, first Astronomer Royal, who was born locally. Unusually, this is a pub converted from a supermarket. The large bar, which looks out onto the Market Place through the large glass façade, dispenses seven cask beers. Upstairs is a smaller eating and drinking area and an outside terrace. It is a short walk to Wharncliffe Road for all bus routes.

A street corner micropub housed in an attractive late Victorian building, and a short walk from the Erewash Canal and cycle trail.       This pub is also home to Ilkeston Rugby Club but is open to the public at all times. This art deco building is open plan inside and always has one changing real ale, but this can increase to 3 during the Rugby season. The card tables have interesting glass rests underneath. There is no particular quiet room but one end is free from TV's. There are two smoking areas, one of which is covered. Families are welcome, Check Facebook for food

      Re-opened in December 2013 after a refit this is now a free house. It serves two real ales. A large, bright bar area which is sports orientated. Having tv screens and sports memorabilia. The smaller lounge area has a real fire and comfortable seating with local paintings adorning the walls. Attractive rear drinking area. New building in the garden to incorporate beer festivals.

There is a beer garden and childrens play area alongside the canal. Essentially a single room it has a number of nooks and crannies to sit in.

This includes a carvery. It is based around a family pub and has an outside play area and large car park. There are some quieter corners and along with pedigree it offers well kept beers from the Martson's range.

      Formerly the Harrington Arms, this two-bar pub is located adjacent to the impressive Harrington Mill, an historic Victorian tenement lace factory. The pub is easily reached from the neighbouring Erewash Canal and Erewash Valley Trail.

      Now managed by the Lincoln Green Brewery, a welcome addition to the real ale presence in Long Eaton, and a wide range of Lincoln Green's beers are available on the bar. There is a beer garden, smoking area and car park to the rear.

      An interesting range of tapas and bar snacks is available Monday-Saturday noon-9pm.

      Built in the last 30 years to accommodate family eating. This is a large, 'l' shaped, one room pub. Owned by Martson's, it offers their range of meals which are available until 9pm. Can get busy at weekends with families dining. It has sky sports and a pool table. Decor is well done with a nice wall montage of local landmarks. Over all a pleasant place for a good value meal. A well stocked all weather garden and large patio and beer garden for those warm British days.

      Large two roomed public house built in the 60's. Refurbished late 2019 and now offering a full menu and special nights for food. It Consists of two 'wings'. A dining/lounge area and a similar sized bar area with pool table, darts and sky sports screen.

      Now a micropub, housed in a 1903 Midland Counties Bank. Grade II listed, the building is an interesting and unusual Art Nouveau design, and has a most impressive façade. The interior is little changed, retaining the original entrance lobby, light oak panelled walls and chimney breast. Alterations made as part of the conversion to micropub have been undertaken sensitively and to a high standard, particularly the installation of a temperature controlled cool room.

      Six regularly changing beers (mostly from local breweries) are dispensed by gravity. Real ciders, tea and coffee are also available. A popular and friendly establishment, close to a number of bus routes to Derby, Nottingham and Loughborough, and a must for visitors to the area.

      Reopened 1st December 2022 following a short closure, retaining the previous management team as the new licensees.

      This ale house is one of smallest pubs in Derbyshire. Originally a butchers shop, it has been transformed into a cosy and friendly place to enjoy a drink and a chat with friends and total strangers. The Alehouse contains a varied collection of brewing memorabilia and staff are friendly and informative. The bar is an old Methodist chapel pulpit from where beers and guest ales are sold. Beers are either on hand pump or from the cellar. As well as the Marlpool range there are five changing guest beers.Cider, mead, a small selection of wines and bottled European beers, are also available.       This recently restored ex-Shipstones pub is an absolute delight. It has a multi roomed interior which has no extraneous noise. It has an outside smoking area with its own fire. Inside it has two open fires and a log burner. Regular entrant in the GBG since it re-opened and winner of Erewash Valley Camra Pub of the Year in 2010, it offers five hand pulls. Winning East Midlands Cider Pub of the Year in 2010. The landlord is a supporter of local breweries, however he is always open to suggestions and offers a friendly welcome.

      The Risley Park consists of a contemporary bar, separate restaurant and a function suite.The bar serves four real ales but is also orientated towards coffees and meals. The bar has booths and is furnished to a high standard with plenty of comfortable seating areas. Every Friday a live band plays. The restaurant is open for lunch and evening meals every day, bar meals are also available. Both are richly decorated with fabrics, gilt mirrors and designer wall coverings. It does have the feel of an hotel and is part of a small chain of high end pubs/restauarnt outlets.

The dark wood beams and the stove in the bar create a friendly and warm atmosphere. The rear of the pub offers additional seating, and there is also a conservatory with a pool table.       Originally an 18th century coaching inn, this large pub has been developed into a pub/restaurant. It has retained some original features and has been sympathetically developed. Close to Sawley Marina, the River Trent is only short walk away and the historic Sawley Parish Church is across the road. It runs a annual beer festival during the August Bank Holiday which is very popular, offering a wide range of beers, music and good food. The restaurant can get busy and is family orientated.

      Brick-built corner-house built around the early 1900's. Although open plan the pubis split into four distinct areas with a central bar. As you enter form the road there is a lounge to the left and a smaller 'snug' to the right. Further forward you will come to the bar on the right with a pool room to the left. Although called the Railway the local station and line closed in the early 1930's. Pub made pizzas to order and a large screen in one area. Friendly and popular local.

      Renovated to a high standard, this micropub has the feel of a traditional 'station' bar and tea shop. An attractively decorated interior, with local railway ephemera and artefacts adorning the walls, the pub takes nearby Long Eaton railway station's former name. It has up to six gravity-dispensed cask beers on offer. A popular local, its proximity to the railway station also makes it handy for commuters. Bar snacks and hot drinks are available throughout the day.

      This large pub, formally known as The Navigation/Trent Navigation was redeveloped in the last three years as a country dining pub. It is a single roomed pub with a seated dining area and a small bar area, separated by the entry Both are comfortable areas to eat either the bar meals or from the more extensive restaurant menu. Handpumps usually supply national beers to a good standard. The garden to the front of the pub lead onto the River Trent and not surprising this pub can get busy in the warmer months. The lock marks the point where the River Trent and River Soar meet with the beginning of the Erewash canal. There are a number of mooring points for short stays. A large free car park services the Trent Lock area and its does get crowded on bank holidays.

      Located close to the River Trent and Sawley Marina, this pub dates back to the 18th century. It is a two-roomed premises served from a central bar, with both rooms warmed by real fires in the colder months. There is usually background music.

      Outside is a large, attractive beer garden; occasional outdoor live music events are held there during the summer. The wood-fired pizza oven housed in the beer garden is in operation most Fridays and weekends from May to October.
