This ale house is one of smallest pubs in Derbyshire. Originally a butchers shop, it has been transformed into a cosy and friendly place to enjoy a drink and a chat with friends and total strangers. The Alehouse contains a varied collection of brewing memorabilia and staff are friendly and informative. The bar is an old Methodist chapel pulpit from where beers and guest ales are sold. Beers are on hand pump. As well as three from the Marlpool range there are three changing guest beers. Cider, mead, a small selection of wines and bottled European beers, are also available. The two barrel brewery is outside in the yard. Winner of Erewash Valley CAMRA winter pub of the year 2015. May stay open longer than the listed hours if trade demands. GBG entry 2020. OPEN BANK HOLIDAY MONDAYS 12-10PM
